Krakow

Krakow

Even though this large city in the south of Poland has long ceased to be the capital, the dignity and beauty of the main settlement of the country remained in it. Many tourists consider Krakow as the most interesting place in Poland. People come here to see the sights, visit the impressive and horrific monuments of World War II and enjoy the amazing architecture of harmony. In addition, there are musical and film festivals, street theatre days and other cultural events of a global scale.

Almost all the attractions are concentrated in Old Town. Where usually tourists stop, as its closer to walk to anywhere in the centre. The old town of Krakow can be considered as pedestrian town, and within the rest of the historical centre it is easy to walk: it is small, and the streets are very beautiful. So many tourists won’t need public transport at all. Likewise, the bicycle rental system works perfectly in Krakow. To rent a bike you will need to pay a deposit and pay 5-10 PLN (1.20-2.40 euro) per hour. This type of transport is often the most convenient for visitors of the city.
