CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) LATEST UPDATES FROM BENCHMARK TRAVEL

Jet2holidays Update - 22nd May 2020

In view of the ongoing travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Jet2holidays have taken the decision to recommence their flight and holidays programme on the 1st July 2020. The health and safety Jet2holidays of customers and colleagues is their absolute priority and they are continuing to monitor the situation closely. 

This means all flights/holidays travelling up to and including 30th June 2020 have been terminated. All operations by Jet2holidays after this date are currently commencing as normal.

TUI Update - 21st May 2020 

Due to the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office have advised against all but essential travel. Unfortunately, this means that we’re no longer able to offer TUI holidays travelling on or before 11 June 2020 and Marella Cruises sailings travelling on or before 30th June 2020. TUI have also postponed the launch of TUI River Cruises until 26 November 2020.

Our beloved travel industry is taking a beating at the minute. If you are thinking of calling us today, please consider the following first...

  • Have you checked the FCO website to see if there are travel restrictions? If there are no restrictions your booking will travel as normal. If there are, your agent (Benchmark Travel) will be working in line with ABTA and the FCO and will contact you.
     
  • Have you checked on the airlines website if your flight is cancelled? If not, your booking will travel as planned until advised otherwise.
     
  • Is the country you are travelling to affected? No, then you are unaffected and can enjoy your holiday. 
     
  • Are you travelling in the next 72 hours? Even if you are affected, your agent (Benchmark Travel) will contact you. Most companies are dealing with bookings travelling in 72 hours as a priority.

Rest assured if you have booked with a reputable agent or tour operator that is an ABTA member and ATOL protected such as ourselves (Benchmark Travel), if your holiday is affected we will contact you in due course.

We really want to help you but this situation is beyond anything anyone could predict and we only have so many resources.
